I am Rai Sato (佐藤 来), a Ph.D. candidate in the Graduate School of Culture Technology at KAIST and a member of the Applied and Innovative Research for Immersive Sound (AIRIS) Lab.

My research focuses on perceptually convincing spatial audio for immersive and augmented-reality systems. I develop real-time, room-aware rendering methods that infer and reproduce the acoustics of the listener’s surroundings, while investigating how binaural cues, reverberation, and listener- and environment-related factors shape presence and preference. My broader work includes 6DoF aural-heritage reconstruction and adaptive in-vehicle acoustic systems.
